Company Poised to Support Technology Innovation Leaders with Modernization Efforts

ATLANTA – (December 15, 2020)— GT Software, a leader in digital transformation and modernization, announced two leadership changes as the company looks ahead to 2021. Effective immediately, Alex Heublein will serve as the company’s President, and Todd Walcott, previously Vice President of Sales, will assume Heublein’s former role as Chief Revenue Officer.  These changes come as the company readies itself to further support technology leaders seeking to remove barriers to innovation. GT Software’s modernization platform creates complex integrations at scale that can connect back-office processes and systems to modern digital ecosystems.

According to Smarter With Gartner, “Gartner Top 6 Trends Impacting Infrastructure & Operations in 2021 December 7, 2020, one of the six key trends that will impact infrastructure and operations in 2021 is core modernization. “Today, organizations are doing more to update and modernize their core infrastructures. This process helps minimize legacy drag, maximize efficiency and ensure resiliency as legacy infrastructure experts retire. It ensures infrastructure evolves in lockstep with emerging technologies, becoming more flexible to respond to digital business needs.”

“We are extremely optimistic about the opportunities for the company in 2021. Strong and innovative leadership will complement our technology platform, our suite of products and our world-class customer base,” said Neal Ganem, CEO of GT Software. “We’re confident these organizational changes will rapidly support our mission of optimizing business information across mainframe, distributed and cloud platforms.”

Heublein, with a long track record of transforming organizations into high-performing, high-growth businesses, joined GT Software in October 2019 as Chief Revenue Officer. He brings a unique set of leadership, technical, and business skills to the table. Over the last 30 years, he held a wide variety of executive roles in software engineering, strategy, consulting, sales, alliances, and operations. Prior to GT Software, Heublein served as Vice President, Cloud Services at Hexagon and as Vice President, Global Technology Services at Oracle.

Heublein also holds an Executive Doctorate in Business (DBA) from the Georgia State University J. Mack Robinson College of Business. His dissertation on “Open Source in The Clouds – How Organizational Ambidexterity Shapes and is Shaped by Disruptive Innovation in an Open Source Software Provider” addresses how incumbent firms effectively respond to disruptive technological innovations.

Todd Walcott, previously the company’s Vice President of Sales, will be taking over Heublein’s former role as Chief Revenue Officer. Walcott brings a wealth of experience in enterprise software sales and a long history of driving bookings and revenue growth for some of the leading companies in the software industry, including Salesforce, SAP, and Sage Software.

GT Software revolutionizes data, process and transaction access to optimize business information across mainframe, distributed and cloud platforms. By enabling data, companies are able to easily create new business applications regardless of the data type, platform, or programming language. Some of the industries that rely on GT Software include financial services seeking to achieve digital initiatives like open banking and real-time-payments, and government agencies tasked with growing demands for self-service functionalities and remote workflows. Regardless of industry or platform, the problem GT Software solves for technology leaders is a way to create complex integrations at scale that can connect back-offices processes and systems to modern applications.
