GT Software Names George Reiner as Director of Business Development; Industry Veteran to Bolster Company’s Partnership Program

ATLANTA, May 14, 2007 – GT Software [www.GTSoftware.com], a leading provider of rapid SOA development solutions that leverage mainframe resources, today announced the appointment of George Reiner as director of business development. In his new position, Reiner will be responsible for managing and developing the company’s partnerships and alliances, a critical element in GT Software’s continuing growth in the enterprise software market.

Reiner will work closely with alliance partners such as IBM, Oracle, SAP, Hewlett-Packard, BEA and Microsoft, as well as the company’s worldwide network of distributors and resellers, focusing on relationship building and teamwork among GT sales engineers and the partners. This collaboration will help reduce the sales cycle, and ensure smooth customer implementations.

Developers use GT Software’s flagship product, Ivory Service Architect, for quick and easy creation and publishing of Web services, developing right-sized composite business services from existing mainframe assets with little or no training. The solution then provides a high-performance runtime engine for executing the deployed business services. Ivory Service Architect allows the mainframe to become an active participant in an SOA.

“George Reiner is a dynamic, creative and top producing management executive with a wealth of experience directing national sales, marketing and technical service/support organizations in software companies and technology service firms,” said Wilson Rains, GT Software Vice President of Alliances. “He brings an important drive and collaborative spirit to the company, and we are delighted to have landed him. He will help ensure the growth of this channel and the continued success of our existing partners and customers.”

“Our partners, distributors and resellers represent an elite class of professionals focused on delivering our best-of-breed mainframe integration solutions to any location, anywhere in the world,” said Reiner. “These partners are a critical part of our success, and we support them throughout the sales and delivery process to ensure the highest level of satisfaction, no matter where the customer is located. With an impressive product line and commitment to modernizing legacy assets, this is a great time to be joining GT Software, and I look forward to helping our growing family of partners to achieve even greater success.”

For the past five years, Reiner has operated a software and networking consultancy in San Juan Capistrano, California. He has also been director of the western region for Relativity Technologies, Inc, a provider of legacy transformation tools for moving mainframe applications to modern platforms and architectures. He has also held executive and sales management positions in leading software and services companies such as Rational, EDS, Object Design, and Integrated Development Environments.

“What’s neat about GT is the braintrust, and the company’s commitment to helping customers get the mainframe to play in modern technologies, with SOA,” Reiner said. “Mainframe applications and data must be part of all the other systems and tools. More importantly, new systems will also rely on these mainframe assets, as well. So, my calling is to create the win-win scenario, where our partner and the end customer teams-up to apply the GT solution smoothly and effectively, and to solve a painful problem.”
