ATLANTA, Georgia - January 10, 2005 - GT Software, the leading provider of mainframe integration solutions, today announced it has earned certified status in Microsoft Corp.'s Partner Program recognizing GT Software's expertise and total impact in the technology marketplace. As a Certified Partner, GT Software has demonstrated expertise with Microsoft technologies and proven ability to meet customer needs. Microsoft Certified Partners receive a rich set of benefits including access, training, and support that give them a competitive advantage in the marketplace.

GT Software's Ivory Web Services offer an innovative solution for companies that want to move ahead with a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) framework but still need to communicate with lBM legacy applications in order to provide enterprise-wide service routines. With Ivory, mainframe legacy applications can communicate seamlessly with open systems platforms, such as .NET, J2EE and others.

Ivory is a unique solution that performs Web services and generates WSDL without the need to write programs. Ivory Studio gives you the ability to select fields across any existing mainframe application and create a single, multi-function WSDL with advanced functionality. Ivory is an effective way to provide enterprise Web services to drive the needs of your business. The Ivory Web Services solution has two main components: Ivory Studio and Ivory Server.

Ivory Web Services uses the top-down or bottom-up approach to designing Web services that create composite business services on the mainframe. Ivory Server runs on the mainframe, reducing the number of network roundtrips to get the required responses. Ivory Server can process multiple transactions and data sources to satisfy the business needs described by the business analyst and defined in Ivory Studio. Ivory Studio allows the developer the ability to add new business logic flow using existing applications without requiring new code being developed.
