GT Software and Ascential Software Partner to Provide Complete Mainframe Integration Solutions

LAS VEGAS, ASCENTIAL WORLD 2004, October 25, 2004 -GT Software, the leading provider of mainframe integration solutions, today announced from Ascential World 2004, that they will partner with Ascential Software Corporation (Nasdaq: ASCL), the enterprise data integration leader. GT Software's tcACCESS™ works in conjunction with Ascential's DataStage™ to provide connectivity to a wide range of mainframe, legacy sources. GT Software is a silver sponsor and is exhibiting at the Ascential World 2004 Partner Pavilion.

Together, Ascential DataStage and tcACCESS are a valuable solution for integrating various data sources. For example, Alex Lee, a holding company for four southeastern food/warehousing companies, accesses ADABAS and VSAM data on a VSE mainframe through their Ascential DataStage solution and tcACCESS.
