It is important for a mainframe integration product to offer high performance access to screen applications because most mainframe applications are screen-based, with the presentation and business logic combined together in green screens. A preferred method for CICS BMS-based applications is the Link3270 Bridge, while IMS applications are accessed via OTMA.
