The new Ivory BMS/TS package introduces the Ivory Studio graphical development tool. The Ivory Studio complements traditional BMS/TS development by providing the BMS map developer the option of using the traditional 3270-based tool, or the new graphical Windows-based Ivory BMS Studio to create and maintain maps.
Ivory BMS has the following benefits:
Intuitive, drag-and-drop map development using a graphical user interface
Ivory Studio installs in less than five minutes
Ivory Studio developers productive with minimal training
“Disconnected development” means there is no requirement to be connected to the mainframe to build and maintain maps
Option to maintain a local map repository managed by source control for maintaining multiple version of a map or simply use the existing “$” file
Existing BMS/TS developers work side-by-side with the Ivory Studio sharing the same BMS repository without fear of version control
