Ivory Service Architect provides native support for the IFL, or Integrated Facility for Linux, one of the IBM specialty engines offering "free MIPs" for designated workloads.  Ivory Server running on z/Linux provides a near zero foot print on any enterprises z/OS CPU consumption, by offloading all the SOA processing to IFL specialty processors.

The IFL is a dedicated special purpose processor for running Linux workloads on the mainframe. While the IFL has the same functionality of a general purpose System z processor, Ivory workload running on the IFL does not incur any increased CPU consumption.  In the current economic recession, it is important to deliver new value out of existing mainframe applications, whether for SOA or other integration projects.  With Ivory, you can take advantage of full support for the IFL specialty engine to virtually eliminate all MIPs overhead for this new mainframe integration workload.

Ivory Service Architect was certified "Ready for z/Linux" by IBM via their Chiphopper program.
