Ivory Service Architect provides web service integration for CA Ideal and CA IDMS at the presentation layer and application layer. Presentation layer integration is possible using Ivory Service Architect’s high performance direct web service enablement for screen-based applications.

CA Ideal panels and CA IDMS maps can be combined with the integrated screen wizard recorder and project builder to quickly create SOAP- and REST-based web services with minimal training and no coding.

CA IDMS mapless transactions are integrated at the application layer using direct interface modules to CA IDMS. CA IDMS and CA Ideal applications can both make outbound web services calls, making Ivory Service Architect a complete web services solution.  

Ivory Data Access provides SQL data access to CA IDMS and CA Datacom databases via industry standard ODBC or JDBC. Ivory Data Access supports the joining of data from CA IDMS and CA Datacom with data from other, non-relational mainframe data sources (such as IMS, DL/1, DB2, VSAM, Adabas, PDS/PS, etc.), presenting the end user with relevant data in familiar relational data views.
